Wright Metric 1/2" Deep Impact 6-point Socket Set

High-quality, made in USA by a family-owned company.

10 and 11 mm sockets have shallow broaching--"about" one nut deep. Ideal for installation since the nut is held near the end of the socket.

12 through 18 mm sockets have mid-depth broaching. Broaching is "about" as deep as two or three nuts.

19 mm and bigger have deep broaching--all the way to the drive end. Ideal for removal, as the nut can move down the socket as it unscrews from the bolt.

No idea why the broaching is inconsistent among the sockets. It doesn't really bother me, but it is curious.

As of the date of this review, an equivalent set from Snap-On (315SIMMYA, 10mm--24mm) does not include the largest socket of this set, and costs $588.
