Great price, nice features and operation, but inconsistent printing darkness. What I like most about this is that it is reasonably light, so, even though I see this as a mostly average tape measure, I am more likely to carry it because it is lighter and not as wide. In other words, easier to carry with me for short measuring jobs.
The Markings are in inches, but every foot, it has markings such as 1F, 2F, 3F, etc. So 2F 3" is marked as 27.
16 inch markers for studs are in red.
There are even 19.2 inch truss markings with a black diamond. If you do not know that it is there (or what it means) you might assume a printing error.
The first foot is marked in 32nds, the rest is marked as 16ths of an inch.
The bottom is marked in mm. Centimeters are marked in black and every 10 centimeters is marked in red.
Meters are marked as 1m, 2m, etc. After you are past 1m, every 10 centimeters are marked with a big number marking the meters. Past 1 meter, centimeter numbering restart and every 10 has the meter label before the number (all in red). So, 'big 2' 30 means 2m, 30 cm.
My biggest complaint is that the darkness of the letters are inconsistent. I own 4 of these. I grabbed one and the markings for 6, 9, 12, and 13cm are light and the others up to 15cm are dark. So whatever technology they used for printing / marking the tape is causing inconsistent printing.
I attempted to capture this with a photo that I will attach.
I am not enamored with this, but I like the form factor and weight.
The lock is easy to engage but more difficult to disengage.
